1950 James Captain Deluxe with spring frame and Villiers Mk.6E engine.  This is the first year of production.

Dunlop forks with rubber in compression instead of springs.

Big headlamp with ammeter, electric horn,battery, carrier, embellisher on front mudguard, chrome tank-top strip and silver-painted curved steel strip over rear mudguard (to cover lamp wire) and rubber knee-grips are all Deluxe fitments.

 

The chainguard transfer is wrong - it should look like this.
