The choke operating rod rises vertically to a curved, chromed lever that operates through a slot in the engine shield. Lettering is arranged above and below the slot as follows :-

| A 1.5mm dark red line runs round the tank sides. |

| 1.5mm dark red lines run down the tank top face following the "shoulder" of the tank each side of the frame top tube. The lines are not parallel with the frame tube as the tank gets wider towards the bottom. | |||
