Frame numbers were prefixed with a year / model code.  (1960)  CL20-xxx.  (1961)  DL20-xxx. etc.

Model announcement
"The Motor Cycle" 1 October 1959 (Salute the Captain, page 272)

"Motor Cycling" same date (New Captain Commissioned, page 426)

Road tests
I have no details of a roadtest of this model but "Motor Cycling" for 25 May 1961 (Impressions of 1961 Models, page 118) published a test of the Sports Captain .
