The James experimented with the M.L. in trials guise during 1946 - 1948.  They had some success and campaigned three machines in numerous events. 
As can be seen the bike was basically stock but had raised mudguards, handlebars  and saddle.  The exhaust 'sausage' was slightly 'upswept'
