In 1965 the M 16 was the final model made by the James.

It was a Captain frame with the 150cc A.M.C. 15T motor.  It was not officially called the Cadet like the previous 150cc models.

The brochures for 1965 and 1966 state that they were metallic green with a black frame, forks etc.

Stephen Baker's example, however, was red.  It appears to have been the original paint so he has restored it to match.

(Tartan Red was a colour used for contemporary Francis Barnetts being made in the James factory)
