Paint
Both Standard and Deluxe models were maroon throughout.
Wheel rims, saddle springs and the steel cover strip on the rear mudguard (Deluxe) to cover the tail-lamp wire were silver painted (Argenize aluminium finish).
The saddle frame, speedo (where fitted) and tail-lamp body were black.
Early models (1949) may have had black headlamp shells and silver fork springs.
1952 - 53 model had a gold line round the raised tank panel.

Plating
Chrome: Standard model: handlebars and levers, gear change lever and top plate & screw, exhaust system, rear lamp bezel, headlamp nuts & rim.

Deluxe model: as above plus - tank top strip, fork links, small headlamp switch, electric horn bezel (where fitted).

Cadmium: nuts and bolts, toolbox button, fork links (Standard model)
