Frame numbering 1949:  Prefix J. (? - this may have been the previous Autocycle Deluxe model)
1950 - 52:  Prefix S.

Engine Villiers Mk 2F. Capacity 98cc.  47mm x 57mm
Gears Single speed with clutch. Handlebar lever has "trigger" to hold clutch out.
Frame Single downtube with rigid rear.
Forks Taper tube girder type. Single, central undamped spring.
Tyres 21" x 2.25"
Tyre pressures Front 17 lbs.psi.  Rear 32 lbs. psi.
Wheel rims Dunlop WMO 36 hole.  Silver painted (Argenized)
Ignition timing ⅛" before top dead centre.
Points gap 0.015"
Plug gap 0.018" - 0.025"
Plug type Original spec. Lodge H 14
Carburettor Villiers "Junior" Type
Jet size J8
Needle No. 2½
Needle setting 29 / 32" from tip of needle to bottom of slide
Tank capacity 1½ gallons approximately.  Use of unleaded fuel will cause no problems
Petroil mixture 16:1 as originally specified. Can be safely reduced to 20:1 with modern oils.
Gearbox capacity Remove oil level screw on side of engine casing and oil filler screw on top of casing.  Fill oil through the filler opening until oil begins to run out through the level plug hole. The correct level of oil is then assured.  Check it regularly.  Castrol "D"  SAE 140
Chaincase capacity Not applicable as the primary chain runs within the gearbox.
Chains Primary chain:  54 pitches
Final drive chain:  114 pitches½" x 0.305" x 0.192" wide (Coventry 112045).  Tension movement max.   ⅜" vertical
Sprockets Engine: (crankshaft) 17 teeth  ⅜" pitch.
Gearbox: (final drive) 11 teeth ½" pitch.
Rear wheel sprocket: 48 teeth
Brakes 4" front & rear
Bulbs Main bulb:  6v - 12 watt S.B.C.
Tail lamp: 4v - 0.3amp M.E.S.
Parking lamp bulb:   4v - 0.3 amp M.E.S.
