Frame numbering
Frame numbers were prefixed M  with a D suffix as far as I know.

Model announcement
"Motor Cycling"  13 September 1951 (Ten 1952 Models from Greet, page 503) introduces the model as the "Competition" Captain.

(There was also a "Competition" Cadet)
