Frame numbering 1952  Prefix M  (as far as I know.)
   
Engine Villiers Mk 6E. Capacity 197cc.  59mm x 72mm
Gears Three speed
Frame Single downtube with brazed up rigid rear.
Forks Early models had Model 5 forks with load and rebound taken by three-rate springs.  Later models had Model 6D (for damper) telescopic fork with two-rate springs with progressive oil damping on compression and rebound.
Tyres Front: 21" x 2.75"
Rear: 19" x 3.25".
Dunlop Trials Universal tyres were fitted.  A security bolt was fitted to each wheel.  The catalogue says the rims were silver painted ("Argenized")
Ignition timing 5/32"" before top dead centre.
Points gap 0.012" - 0.015"
Plug gap 0.018"
Plug type Original spec.  Lodge HH 14.  14mm short reach.
Carburettor Villiers Type 4 / 5 two lever.
Jet size 0.081"
Needle No. 4½ - variable.
Needle setting Variable - adjusted from handlebar to suit running conditions
Tank capacity 2¼ gallons approximately.  Use of unleaded fuel will cause no problems
Petroil mixture 16:1 as originally specified. Can be safely reduced to 20:1 with modern oils.
Gearbox capacity Remove oil level screw on side of engine casing and oil filler screw on top of casing.  Fill oil through the filler opening until oil begins to run out through the level plug hole. The correct level of oil is then assured.  Check it regularly.  Castrol "D"  SAE 140
Chaincase capacity Fill to level plug.
Chains Primary chain:  50 pitches.  ½" x 0.335" x 0.205" (Renold 110044)
Final drive chain:  ½" x 0.335" x 0.205" wide.  (Renold 110044)
Sprockets Engine: (crankshaft) 19 teeth.  ½" pitch.
Gearbox (final drive) 15 teeth.  ½" pitch
Rear wheel sprocket: 52 teeth as standard.
Brakes 5" front & rear
