Frame numbering 1961.  DL20S-xxx.  1962. EL20S-xxx etc.
   
Engine AMC 20TS. 199cc. 59mm x 73mm.  Selective assembly and "gas-flowed".
Gears Four speed
Frame Single downtube with swinging-arm rear.
Forks Telescopic.  Oil damped.  There was a Mk1  and a Mk2 fork (1964 on).
Tyres 1961 - 63:  Front 18" x 3.00".  Rear: 18" x 3.25"
1964 on:  Front 19" x 2.75".  Rear 18" x 3.25"
Wheel rims Dunlop WM1 36 hole

Carburettor AMAL Type 376 / 231.
Jet size Jet block - 15/16" bore.

Tank capacity 2¾ gallons approximately.  Use of unleaded fuel will cause no problems.
In 1963 a "jelly-mould" tank was fitted.
Petroil mixture 20:1 as originally specified. Can be safely reduced to 24:1 with modern oils.
Gearbox capacity Remove oil level screw on side of engine casing and oil filler screw on top of casing.  Fill oil through the filler opening until oil begins to run out through the level plug hole. The correct level of oil is then assured.  Check it regularly.
Chaincase capacity Fill to level plug.
Chains Primary chain:  58 pitches. ⅜" x ¼" x 0.225" Renold 110038
Final drive chain:  123 pitches. ½" x 0.335" x 0.305".  Renold 110046
Sprockets Engine: (crankshaft)

Rear wheel sprocket: 50 teeth.
Brakes 6" front & 5" rear
Bulbs Main bulb:  6v - 30 / 24w. pre-focus.
Tail lamp: 6v - 3w.
Stop lamp: 6v - 18w.
Parking  lamp: 6v - 3w.
Speedo: 6v - 5.3amp
