Paint
The autocycle was maroon throughout except :-
The tank (lined red) and wheel rims were silver painted.
Headlamp shell, rear lamp body, saddle springs and exhaust pipe / silencer "sausage" are black.

Plating
Chromium plating was used for the fork links & nuts, headlamp rim, handlebars and levers, Villiers throttle lever assembly, choke operating lever and pedalling gear.
All nuts & bolts were cadmium plated

Early models 1945, 1946 / 47.
Black throughout with silver tank panels.  Wheel rims were black with red pinstripes.  By April 1946 the rims were silver.  Hubs and engine covers were silver with blue pinstripes on the engine covers.
